So wait, is Neon Nail Polish Illegal? whaaaaaa?

Then how did it get on my fingernails?  Oh wait, it’s not illegal to wear it (though perhaps the fashion police will have a say) but it is illegal to PRODUCE it.  Well, actually, it’s really only that neon colorants have just not been officially registered with the FDA, according to the source at racked.com.  Apparently any polish company who wanted to register it could do so, but it is expensive, and there are just fine euro brand neons available.  There you have it.  While neon nail polish is not precisely ILLEGAL in these United States, it is also not exactly legal.  Just like neon nail polish is not precisely pretty, and not exactly ugly either.
