The school year is just around the corner and college freshman (for the most part) will be spending the next year in a less than homey dorm room. My dorm room was a blank, white canvas begging me to put something on the walls and dab some color here and there.
Most freshman may find that making their dorm room look cute and you is not as easy as Pinterest boards suggest. However, with some creativity and guidance from boutiques like Cottage Chic on East Blvd., it’s easy to make a dorm look stylish, fashionable and far from dreary. From my dorm as a freshman, to the sorority house for sophomore year and now moving into an apartment as a rising junior, I can tell you that my cute frames, magnet boards and laundry bag have come with me every step of the way.
Decorating a dorm room with the perfect touches takes a little work and maybe even a knick-knack that you wouldn’t have thought of originally.
