blo is North America’s original Blow Dry Bar and we’re thrilled to have this 12 seat blow out shop right in the Colony Road Shops on Selwyn Avenue, just down from doll.{a boutique} and Woo Beauty.
blo is not a full service hair salon. Scissors are verboten at blo. Dye, ditto. It’s a dry bar – a concept that’s been super-popular in the bigger cities, and now right here in Charlotte. No cuts, no color: Just WASH BLOW GO. Most girls are in and out in 40 minutes. Some go for special occasions, some go every weekend, some go several times a week. At $35 for the basic blowout, you can trade a few skinny lattes for beautiful hair any time you want it. And p.s., you can always grab a glass of wine or bubbly since you’ve passed up that latte – blo is stocked with picks from neighbor Petit Phillipe in Tranquil Court.
The 18 or so stylists at blo have an average of 8 years in the business, and blo uses only products from the luxe brand UNITE. Choose your version of the 7 styles featured in the Blo Hair Menu, from the razor-straight “Executive Sweet†to the runway-inspired “Pillow Talk†all for only $35. With an appointment, blo will open as early as 7 am for the pre work crowd, and stay open til 7 pm for the pre party crowd.
