Beignets. Boudin. Etouffee. And Now Reveillon comes to Charlotte

gumbo for reveillion at e2 e2 emeril’s eatery  is bringing Charlotteans one of the less well known New Orleans food traditions during the entire month of December.

“Réveillon,” (rehv-ee-ahn) which loosely means “awakening” in French, was a hearty feast originally enjoyed on Christmas Eve for hungry worshippers following midnight mass.  The tradition has experienced a revival in recent years and is now common in New Orleans restaurants during the entire holiday season.

e2 is adopting the ritual and invites QC diners to enjoy the celebratory tradition of a Réveillon meal this holiday season with a prix-fix specialty dinner menu in December. The luxurious 3-course feast is $38, plus tax and gratuity.
