It’s that time of year. The time for amazing food, scratchy Bing Crosby records playing, and big laughter-filled get-togethers. Candlelight, a holiday punch or drink, and garlands are must-haves. So are beautiful place settings. I love the luxurious yet rustic feel of the full floor-to-ceiling garland; how perfect would it be with the table setting below?
If you think about it, Christmas is the perfect embodiment of rustic glam – that balance of burlap and glitter that we talked about before, a huge trend in decorating and here to stay for sure. The Christmas tree itself is both woodsy and flamboyant… it smells intoxicating, it is fringey and showy and yet couldn’t be earthier – and it is decked in diamond-like twinkling lights and expensive ornaments.
You simply can’t throw a Christmas Party this season without bedecking your halls with all that is glamorous, glitzy and nostalgically rustic.
I think the key to perfect Christmas party decor is in the details throughout the room – not just on the table itself. These one-of-a-kind pieces from BD Jeffries and Post & Gray would simply bring everything together in your Christmas dining room:
I am seriously lusting after both.
With a beautiful antique bench, a rich-smelling evergreen garland, and candles in hurricanes (also plaid anywhere possible) you can’t go wrong… and you simply must set the table a little glitzier.

Those art deco wine glasses! The vintage touches keep the look from being too stuffy.  And you can mix in rustic birds nests and a little modern sparkle style to keep it fresh.
I love the mix of the red glitter trees and the birds nests – so adorable. Also the rustic glam of the silver Antler candle stands and twig napkin holders.
At a party like that, you could also make these incredibly easy and totally adorable napkin rings:
Ugh so perfect. The details, the details, people.
Then consider making your own Mulled Wine for a big WOW factor.
Easier and prettier than eggnog.
Plus how cute is this presentation for the side-table next to your bowl of the Mulled Wine?
Classy.
