February brings lots of love to area children from Monkee’s of Lake Norman and the Promise Circle of the Jeff Gordon Children’s foundation.
In a celebration of fashion and philanthropy Monkee’s Davidson flagship store at 624 Jetton St. will host weekly designer trunk shows and a month long children’s book drive. Their effort will culminate in a celebration of the Promise Circle, a dedicated volunteer group of women who work in conjunction with the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation to support childhood cancer patients and their families. The group’s focus is on improving the patient experience during and after treatment with quality of life programs.
The first of 3 trunk shows is this weekend, featured the super-popular denim designs of DL 1961. 10% of proceeds from each trunk show will be donated to the Children’s Foundation, along with 10% of sales from the evening of the Promise Circle party on 2/27.
After that, we can look forward to a Feb. 14-15, Jack Rogers Trunk Show and a Feb. 21-22, Before and Again Trunk Show. Finally, on Feb. 27, we will join Monkee’s for a Promise Circle Party with fun, fashion and fellowship are on the agenda as we sample wine from the Jeff Gordon Collection and enjoy nibbles from Toast Cafe.  Ingrid Vandebosch, wife of NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon, will join the festivities and share how those interested can participate in the The Promise Circle.
