Bloat-Busting Watermelon Smoothie

Ingredients

3 cups of seedless watermelon (cubed)

1 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries

1 cup of fresh or frozen raspberries

1/2 frozen banana

1 cup of coconut water

 

Directions: Put all ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth.  Add more coconut water if you feel that the consistency is too thick.  Serve cold and enjoy.

 

The water content in the watermelon acts as a natural diuretic which flushes out excess salt from the body, and it is surprisingly low in sugar as well.  The banana in this smoothie fights puffiness due to its high potassium content, and the fiber in the berries has the same effect.

To keep your waistline looking trim, incorporate some other slimming foods into your diet, such as leafy greens, oatmeal, avocado, celery, cucumber, eggs, and water with fresh squeezed lemon, and avoid carbonated sodas, salt, and processed foods with high-fructose corn syrup.
