The Holidays are a celebration of gratitude and abundance centered around food and fellowship. What type of celebration are you planning? Your style might be elegant and refined or super cool and casual. Let your table, meal and home reflect that style and nourish your guests.
Here are some tips on how to make the holiday a success:
1. Set an intention–kindness, abundance, health forgiveness, acceptance etc…Use your intention to create the mood and inspire you. Decorate your table and home with items that reflect your intention. If “kindness” is your intention you could write each guest a small note on their place card.
2. Set your table–(formal or informal) gather together what you have and figure out what you need. Use the holiday as and excuse to freshen up your tableware. Buy a new piece or two to add to existing sets.
3. Ready the home–have plenty of seating, food surfaces and space. Do include a place for Aunt Mae to set her cocktail when she’s watching the Cowboys play football on the sofa (intention=acceptance). Make your home cozy and comfortable for everyone. Place a coffee table book out that will spur conversation. Cue up some happy music.
Preparing the dinner and readying your home might require a little  “joojing”….you know, a little adjusting or fixing. We checked in with some local Home and Garden stores for the Thanksgiving Decor inspiration.
