The best oysters in town for your Holiday Feast are at Clean Catch Fish Market.

In case you missed how much I love the seafood from Bill at CLEAN CATCH, you can read that post here.     I just heard from Clean Catch that they are getting overnight shipment delivery weekly of the freshest oysters possible for those of us who insist on mollusks on the Holiday menu.   On the half-shell with mignonette & champagne, smoked oysters right off the grill in the back yard, Oysters Rockefeller and Oyster Dressing.   For the record, I insist on all of the above, but only if someone else is cooking.  If not, then I go with raw on the half-shell, with someone else doing the shucking.

Most of Clean Catch’s oysters this week are shipped o’night from Massachusetts from an oyster fisherman named Island Creek who supplies restaurants including The French Laundry, Per Se, Next, and even the White House.  Clean Catch is the perfect seafood place for the boutique shopper – the quality is superior, and the vendors and product are personally hand-picked by the owner.  And the service is top-notch, friendly and helpful.  You will not be sorry to get to know these guys.  [they are open Sundays, but not Mondays, so get over there Tues or Weds this week, or better yet, text them your order to (704) 272-4551]

Here are some the oysters Clean Catch often stocks:
