Winghaven’s Spring Plant Sale
Wednesday, April 8-Saturday, April 11
Wing Haven Gardens

Visit the Nursery for Wing Haven’s Spring Plant Sale next weekend.  Choose from a variety of native and plants, or take home a piece of Wing Haven with one of their Legacy Plants propagated on site.  Free programming on plant and garden topics Thursday – Saturday at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm. Plus, garden admission is free with your sales receipt.

Charlotte Garden Club Art In The Garden Tour
Saturday, April 18- Sunday, April 19
Various locations, with a Garden Party on Sunday at the Mint Museum Randolph

Explore seven stunning personal gardens in Charlotte with this two day event encompassing natural beauty and local art.  Inspired by the gardens, artists will set up their easels and paint on-site while you stroll through the blooms.  Various types of gardens will be featured, from new experimental gardens to mature ones with up to 23 different types of herbs.  The event culminates in a garden party at the Mint Museum Randolph on Sunday afternoon where the artists’ work will be displayed.  Read about each of the featured gardens and buy your tickets here.

UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens

Pick up everything you need to turn your yard into a secret garden at the UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens Plant Sale next weekend.  They’ll have a wide selection of Charlotte natives, choice shrubs, unique tropicals, carnivorous plants, and more.  The scoop on this sale is that members get to shop a special access preview sale on Thursday.  Not a member? Organic Vegetable Gardening for Kids

Get your green thumbs ready.  Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden is bringing in the experts each weekend during Spring Sprouts to share their top tips and take you on guided walks through the gardens.  New vendors are bringing an eclectic inventory of herbaceous perennials and woody shrubs to their Garden Store, and on Sundays, get tips from Microfarm Organic Gardens.

Historic Rosedale Plantation

Plan a Sunday stroll around Historic Rosedale’s six breathtaking gardens at their Bicentennial Garden Tour in May.  The event also includes a special garden exhibit of never before see photos of Rosedale’s gardens over their rich history.  But the day’s not over yet, unwind from your day of touring with a wine and cheese party on Sunday afternoon.
