Summer’s Best Lipstick Colors for an LKN girl

The sun is shining and bright colors are everywhere – from handbags to nail polishes. At a time of year when nudes and light pinks usually rule for carefree summer beauty, our favorite celebrities have been taking it up a notch by wearing bright lipsticks on the red carpet. A little more high-maintenance – yes. Worth it – yes! Check out this post we found on Harper’s Bazaar for favorite summer ’15  lipsticks and how you can get the look.

Carnation Pink is a good color to start with if you never wear bright lipstick. It gives lips a flushed, feminine look that’s fun and universally flattering.

Poppy is a fresh way to wear red lipstick in the summer. It has a touch of hot pink in it, which makes almost anyone’s complexion brighter.

Don’t be scared of Fuchsia – it may be intimidating in the package, but it’s a beautiful shade that looks great on everyone. You can choose a sheer formula for a pop of color, or go bold with a matte lip. Either way, it looks sophisticated and sexy. Bonus: Fuchsia has blue undertones, which make teeth look whiter.

Coral is a gorgeous red-orange color that looks SO good with your summer tan. Coral warms up the skin and looks great with gold-bronze eye-makeup. Try it and turn up the heat on your summer look.
