Shopping for age-appropriate style can be difficult in the trendy & cute boutiques around town. Â Actually, it’s difficult no matter where you shop ~ it’s not a boutique thing or a Charlotte thing. Â It’s an aging thing.
After a certain age, we all know mini dresses are difficult….[But tunics are great. So try the mini you love on over skinnies or a long narrow skirt and see how that works. You might be surprised]….
So are halters, sleeveless, bustiers, strapless, cut outs, all-black, crop tops, skinny jeans, sheers and more. Â The “Fashion People” love to say that style is ageless, and that’s true in a sense. Â But crepe-y skin and back fat rolls are real things, and not everyone wants to wear theirs loud & proud.
We polled the local shops for their current styles for all ages. So whether you’re in your 20’s or your 50’s, take a look at their ideas below.  You CAN find something flattering yet ultra stylish to wear in stores now.  And remember, layering is your BFF with any of these styles.  T shirts can transform spaghetti straps and strapless dress or bustier over a men’s shirt is definitely a look worth testing.
