Y’all, there’s a new girl in town and you have to go see her. Gaylen Herman recently opened TRAVELING CHIC BOUTIQUE on Selwyn Ave at Colony, next to Edible Art and doll, Denim House, Woo, BLO etc.
First of all, Gaylen is a blast to chat with ~ warm, super friendly, welcoming and casually chic. Pretty much just like the store she’s just opened.
Traveling Chic keeps everything priced under $100, and most things under $50. The vibe is a little boho, not too edgy and not too preppy. Plus something for all the ages. While I was there taking these pics, I met a fellow Latin mom who was shopping for her middle school daughter AND her mother. And she got something for each.
They’re locally & socially conscious at TCB, offering you re-usable shopping bags with the option to pass on the bag, in which case they’ll donate $1 to your favorite local cause jar.
And they love puppies. Like so much that they’re having a rescue adoption day at the store soon, working with the SPCA and bringing puppies in to the store. See? That right there. Yep.
Traveling Chic Boutique has stores in Alpharetta, Asheville, Greenville, Richmond, and Southern Pines, and now Charlotte. Their thing is to bring you designer fashion, jewelry, handbags, vintage boots and more at prices that won’t break the bank. A diverse range of merchandise that can’t be found at department stores, and sells out quickly. According to their website, at least half of their inventory is new from week to week, and items are only carried once.
Here are some pics of what I saw at the store this week – but stop by soon yourself, cause now you know the merch is ever-changing. And don’t forget, tell em scoop sent you
