In true Rusty Rudder fashion, the Lake staple will host a 4 Day Labor Day Blowout from Thursday, Sept. 3 to Monday Sept. 7. There will be drink specials and even a fish fry Friday night. And the bands… Y’all… so. many. bands. Sunny Ledfurd, Roy Daye Jr., Jay Mathey, Rudder Allstars, Woody and Dugi, Blue Monday, and Simplified will all be on the Rudder stage during the party.

The team plays Hampton Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. Then, it’ll carb up for a double header against Presbyterian Sept. 5 at 12 p.m. and East Carolina at 6 p.m. All matches are free to attend and held at Baker Sports Complex on the school’s campus.

Latta Plantation will take you on a tour of history Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with its Living History series. Throughout the day you’ll get to learn about the struggle that took place in Mecklenburg County during the Revolutionary War through demonstrations, talks, and activities for all ages.

You guys loved Sunday Jazz Jam so much that OTPH makes it an official thing Sunday, Sept 6. From 6-9 p.m. you’ll enjoy the exceptionally talented Brian Burton Trio. This dynamic group will be showcasing some of its own songs as well as facilitating a unique experience that includes various jazz musicians from around the Lake. Doors open at 4 p.m. and music starts at 6. The cover is $5.
The BackBeat, a Beatles Tribute Band, will be the featured band at Davidson’s Concerts on the Green Sunday, Sept. 6. Concerts are free and held from 6-9 p.m.on the town green in front of the Davidson Public Library, at the intersection of Main Street and Concord Road.
