It’s back and better than ever. This year, the minds behind Charlotte’s favorite beerfest & BBQ festival are joining forces to bring us the Southern Sauce Festival: two days celebrating all that’s great about the South. It kicks off Friday with an all-day BBQ festival in Romare Bearden Park. Taste, try and vote for favorites through Saturday afternoon.
Then keep the party going by getting your tickets to Charlotte Beerfest (or win them here!) on Saturday night. Sample from the almost 300 beers they’ll be pouring, enjoy the beautiful view from the ballpark and take in live music from Simplified and The Gin Blossoms.
‘Sunset at Metropolitan’ Fall Concert Series

It’s back! Make plans to jam out to live music each Thursday this Fall at the Metropolitan. ‘Sunset at Metropolitan’ opens up again Sept. 17 and runs through Oct. 8. Enjoy the beautiful cool weather, specials from Metropolitan restaurants and the sounds of your favorite hits. Here’s the line-up:

The Gallery South End
Enjoy one of South End’s newest finds and support a great cause at the “Art Strokes Out Cancer” Art Auction. The Joedance Film Festival and The Gallery at South End are teaming up to showcase art by Abstract Artist William Antonio, and are donating 30% of all art sales and bar sales to Joedance, a non-profit that supports local pediatric cancer research at Carolinas Healthcare System’s Levine Children’s Hospital.
