Before shopping malls were all the rage, people had one choice for holiday shopping: pile in the car and head downtown to stroll the streets and pickup their holiday gifts at local shops. Things have changed a bit since then, but this year you can bring back the magic of shopping Uptown and supporting local with Tinselbox : A Holiday Pop-Up Shop, happening Wednesday, December 2 through Friday, December 4 from 11 am until 7pm each day.
As part of the larger Shop Uptown for the Holidays initiative, Tinselbox offers Charlotteans the chance to shop with local retailers and makers during lunches, afternoon coffee breaks and post-work outings. This one-stop-shop will include unique holiday gifts from Kendra Scott jewelry, Straight Stitch & Co. denim, The Frock Shop and more. Refreshments will also be available to replenish the energy expended shopping; coffee, cider and treats each day and a wine and cheese reception each evening from 5pm until 7pm.
And for your convenience, Cruise Carts golf cart service will travel up and down Tryon Street to offer customers a free ride to the pop-up shop.
