Even the most un-trendy of us can wrap our minds around a little something fringed or boho, or maybe an “X” neck or off-the-shoulder look this spring. I get it if you refuse to accept the flatform, although it’s going on 5 years now on the runways so it’s just as steadfast in commitment as you are. But a little bit of layered ruffling or flounces could be fun, and it really is high time you bought yourself a denim dress / romper / shirt / top / skirt. Here are some of the Spring 2016 fashion trends we’ve been seeing in the mags for SS16:
- 70s inspired fashion (suede, fringe, boho)
- Victorian looks (high necks, florals, flounced tops)
- X necks and exposed shoulders
- Cutaways and exposed arms
- Pleats
- Netting
- Stripes of all kinds
- Big ruffles and flounces, and Flamenco stylings
- Lingerie styles (if it looks like a nightgown, it’s right on trend) and Sequins
- Lightweight denim, and denim that’s not jeans
- flatforms, flat mules and loafers
