This year’s beach themed event is set for Wednesday, May 18th from 6-10pm at Merino’s located in downtown Mooresville. This childhood cancer fundraiser is a signature event put together by the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation. To read more about how this amazing event began & grew into what it is today, click here.
This fundraiser is a wonderful way to support the efforts of Truex Jr. & longtime girlfriend Sherry Pollex. There is fashion, food & drink, and fun, and the highlight of the evening is when the Catwalk kids take the stage. Martin & Sherry have found a way to bring attention and help to this devastating need in a positive and uplifting way ~ Catwalk for a Cause 2015 raised over $250,000 to help families struggling with this awful illness.
Along with a new summer beach theme, this year’s event emcee will be Molly Grantham, from WBTV in Charlotte. As always, guests will dine on great food including Eez sushi, hand rolled on site this year, and enjoy a variety of beverage offerings including craft beer from D9 Brewing Company. Nature’s Bakery is this year’s Presenting Sponsor.
The fashionable evening highlight is a runway fashion show featuring Catwalk’s own special heroes: Children who are cancer survivors or are still receiving treatment for cancer who will model the latest spring fashions from Belk. Belk will also outfit participating male NASCAR drivers who walk the catwalk this year, while the “first ladies” of NASCAR will wear fashions from local area boutiques.
