The Perfect Place Settings for Brides and Newlyweds. And you.

Fine china is having a comeback. Or really, for those of us who love beautiful settings, it never went away. Fine china, crystal, and sterling are still the backbone of any classic bridal registry, and are treasured possessions of most Southern entertainers. Meant to be used throughout your own lifetime but also meant to be handed down through the generations, updated with each new bride’s registry.

That’s why pattern mixing will never go out of style on our dining tables.  There’s no better way to use your mother’s white platinum banded bone china from the 60s & 70s along with your grandmother’s Herend or Royal Crown Derby. If you are lucky, you’ve inherited miscellaneous plates and partial plate settings from both sides of the family, and together you can pick out what you need to set a gorgeous table. Hopefully, it’s a never ending process for you, which you add to and update through the decades.

We went to one of Charlotte’s best boutiques for tabletop and bridal registery, ELIZABETH BRUNS in The Specialty Shops South Park for some inspiration on perfect place settings.  Elizabeth Bruns carries 20+ brands in fine & quality everyday china, several well known crystal brands, along with sterling, silver plate and stainless flatware and glassware, barware, linens and antique silver. Plus of course, the most beautiful jewelry ever. Here are some of our favorite place settings to spark your imagination:
