Scenes from Charleston Fashion Week

Last week was the 10th anniversary of Charleston Fashion Week, the second coming of NYFW but with a distinctly southern twist, and we had the opportunity to attend. Unlike New York Fashion Week where you’ll find the latest high profile designers showcasing their collections for the upcoming season, Charleston Fashion Week features a mix of local retailers with emerging designers and culminates with a show from a visiting designer. And this year’s visiting designer Tracy Reese did not disappoint with the Charleston showing of her S/S 2016 collection. Not to mention the fashion-forward collections from NC-based emerging designers Jamie Morrison, Jessica Lache Fulks, Jon Millner, Lisa Hoang and Lauren Stillwell. We had the opportunity to attend Friday and Saturdays fashion week events, along with the Charleston Spring Bridal showcase, to bring you the inside scoop on what Charleston Fashion Week is all about.
