There is no better Spring Dress Festive!! occasion than a Garden Cocktail Party at The Duke Mansion. When we heard about this fundraising cocktail party to benefit the American Lung Association in Charlotte, we thought you might want to break out your frock & sandals, grab your guy and sign up.
What Is It?
Hosted by the Lung Force Cabinet, the first ever Turquoise Tasting is a cocktail party in the garden at The Duke Mansion to raise awareness and funding for lung cancer.
The evening will include an assortment of seasonal pairings, with each food station serving a paired tasting of either a local beer or a recommended wine. There will also be acoustic music by Caleb Davis and a wine pull….where you make a $20Â donation and you pick an unknown bottle of wine that could be valued anywhere from $20 to $200!!
Plus a raffle with prizes donated by some of our favorite local businesses, including gift cards to Boem and Copper Penny, a room makeover by DesignPOST Interiors, a night stay at the Duke Mansion, BB&T box tickets to the Knights game, and more.
The event is being co-chaired by local jewelry designer Madeline Hughes (elle + j) and her sister who lost their mother in 2008 to lung cancer and is hosted by The Lung Force Cabinet. Madeline, Josephine and Lung Force are raising awareness with presenting sponsor CHARLOTTE RADIOLOGY to the facts that:
- Lung cancer is the #1 cancer killer of women.
- It’s estimated that lung cancer will represent more than 1 in 4 female cancer deaths.
- On average, less than half of all women diagnosed with lung cancer will be alive one year after diagnosis.
