Get your tickets now for this! On May 22 from 5-8PM, OrthoCarolina will host a fundraiser on Lake Norman on a custom 90 foot yacht through Charters for Charity to help raise money to send a team to Cuba next January. The event will include a silent auction, food, and a spectacular evening cruising the lake!
In early 2017 the inaugural mission of Operation Walk Carolinas heads to Cuba on an important mission. Over just a few days, this group of 20-25 volunteers will perform upwards of 50 joint replacements on patients with arthritis and other debilitating conditions. Many of these people have no other way to access or fund a costly hip or knee replacement that can change their lives. In developing countries, there are few trained surgeons and health care providers for these types of operations, nor the implants and other medical devices and supplies required. These much-needed surgeries will allow patients to be free of a pain of life and disability, to have a richer quality of life and in many cases go back to work and help provide for their families.

Each OpWalk mission can cost upwards of $150,000 which is the fundraising goal for Cuba. It’s a big undertaking but every donation, no matter the size, helps. Tickets to the event are $100 and all funds go towards the cause. If you cannot attend, please consider donating securely HERE.
