Dubbed by local media as the “Best Party for Young Professionals” and “Best Young Professional Party”, the annual Derby Days hosted by the Young Affiliates of the Mint Museum brings together more than 400 of Charlotte’s young professionals to enjoy a day of live music, lawn games, free wine and beer, food trucks, a 50/50 raffle and a large-screen viewing of the Kentucky Derby.
If you are 40 or under in Charlotte, you should give serious consideration to this party on the lawn of the Mint Museum Randolph. Here’s the agenda from their website:
3pm: Roll call. Get in the door, grab a Maker’s Mark Mint Julep, and prepare for what’s next.
4pm: Check out our 50/50 raffle and grab a snack from the food trucks
5pm: Feel all the feels listening to The Time Sawyer Band
6:34pm: Root for your favorite pony with 400 other screaming young professionals
7pm: Keep the party going by attending the afterparty
Tickets for Members are $40 and for Non-members, $55.
Once you’ve gotten your ticket, we know, the #1 question is What to Wear. Ok maybe the #1 question is who to bet on, but before the betting there is outfits.
We posted some ideas from the local women’s boutiques HERE, and we snagged some YAMs of the male variety to model the Derby perfect attire at ONWARD RESERVE. Thanks to Al, Christian and Brandon for being good sports & modeling a few looks for us.
The store, located in Park Road Shopping Center, is really a great place to take him to shop, even if you end up doing the shopping and he just has a beer and enjoys the vibe.
