Florals are huge in decor this season.

Big, bold florals have been trend-spotted for this year and it is a unanimous vote: florals are a wonderful way to bring the color and pattern to your rooms. From fresh cut flowers on your table to floral accent pillows, just a little can liven up any space in the house. Or, you can go all in by layering floral fabrics, pillows, art and wallpaper. We love the intermix of old-fashioned florals with neutral decor, including today’s popular sectionals, lucite and clean lines, and for an unexpected edge, consider upholstering a piece with modern / contemporary lines in a granny floral. Not just for porch swings anymore!

For an inspirational take on using granny florals throughout an eclectic home, check out this blogpost on the UK’s Nikki Tibbles here.

I usually start with one dominant fabric and choose a coordinate that has either; a common accent color, a mimicking pattern, a uniform color story, or similar feel. You can mix and match and have a lot of fun without venturing too far into granny territory!

Large-scale florals were a huge trend at the spring’s High Point furniture market with an emphasis on layering different scale florals together on one piece or in one space and utilizing bold florals in unexpected ways like on large upholstered pieces, versus the traditional use in drapery panels and pillows. Here are some great florals that we currently have in stock on the floor and available for special order that would be the perfect pop in any room.
