The Cornelius Cultural Arts Group is hosting a Gala to benefit the Lake Norman Kiwanis Splashville Park. The Gala will be held this Friday night at Oak Street Mill in Old Town Cornelius from 6-9 pm.
The event will feature craft beer from D9 brewery, wine, heavy hors d’oeuvres and live music from the Calvin Edwards Trio.
There will also be a vote on sculptures done by seven local artists that depict the history of Old Town Cornelius. The sculptures were made with re-purposed materials and have been on display at local businesses throughout town. The final voting will take place at The Gala and winning artist will receive a $500 prize as well as be be featured on a bench at the new Splashville Park.
So come out and support the art community at this great event – attire is business casual and entry is a suggested donation at the door.
