assorted-bar-bites

Vivace’s new executive chef, Rodrigo Velazco, has elevated the concept of “bar food” with a sophisticated new happy hour menu, available at the bar Monday through Friday from 4 until 6 p.m. For example, Vivace’s version of potato skins, patata con erba, is composed of crispy potato wedges, lemon and Tuscan olive aioli, white barbecue sauce and smoked bacon Dijonaisse. And for those whose idea of the perfect bar food is a platter of chicken wings, Vivace has you covered. Velazco’s clever take, bachetta brasata, is made with braised drumsticks with a balsamic Calabrian agrodolce. Prices range from $4 to $6. Other bar bites include:

Melone Crostato – Seasoned syrup, crispy prosciutto, pickled bird eyes chilis
Arancini – Pancetta, fontina, reggianito arancinis
Fritto Misto – Artichoke halves, zucchini and squash florets
Tuscan Liver Spread – House-pickled relish, herbs
Arrosticini – Goat skewers, pickled pearl onions, olives, peeled grape tomatoes, salsa verde
Tradizione – Mortadella, prosciutto, salami, fontina and tapenade
