The Sweet Smell of Fall
One of my first jobs in high school was a ‘spritzer chick.’  Yep, that’s code for one of those girls that passes out the scented paper with the newest perfume and tries to get you hooked.  Little did I know that I would be immersed in the beauty world 20 years later and getting to blog about my all my favs.
As the days get cooler and the holidays draw near, I am loving all the signs of fall. One of my favorite fall scents is a warm caramel pumpkin spice latte on a crisp cool fall morning. Â We all welcome Sweater Weather, Booties and New Jeans each November, but sometimes we tend to forget to include a fall fragrance update. Â {Yes, even your fragrance is in need of a seasonal update}.
Fragrance trends this fall are seductively spicy with pepper and musk and a touch of deep earth combined with some warm cozy sweet top notes.  I must say I am a sucker for a spicy scent topped with a warm sweet note.  One of my favorites this past year has been Flower Bomb, but now I feel a change is definitely on the horizon.  In fact, the new Chanel No.5 L’Eau was created by Olivier Polge, the mastermind behind my favorite Flower Bomb.  So, needless to say, I am in love with the new L’Eau.  Nothing says fall like a new sultry fragrance that is complemented with the perfect body creme.
Here are my top pick’s for fall.
“No. 5 L’Eau” by Chanel is a woody citrus floral.  It is perfectly blended with citrus notes and topped with beautiful rose, ylang-ylang, jasmine and a base touch of cedar and white musk.  This is the perfect blend of freshly sweet meets spicy, and my personal favorite this season.
“Aventus For Her” by Creed is a spicy floral fresh.  It beautifully blends green apple, pink berries, and patchouli combined with roses, sandalwood, and musk and toped with sweet peach, cassis, lilac, amber, yang yang.  Yes, Creed fragrances are fit for a queen and some of them in the collection were even created for royalty.
“Orchid Soleil” by Tom Ford is a succulent sensual scent.  It combines the spicy notes of pink pepper, bitter orange, and cypress with light florals and topped with warm chestnut cream, vanilla, patchouli.  Nothing says succulent and sensual like a Tom Ford fragrance.  Perfect for these cozy fall nights.
“Orange Bitters” by Jo Malone is a warm winter scent.  It combines the spice of oranges with mulled wine and festive spices.  Simple, yet perfect.  I love this line because you can customize and blend the fragrance of your choice.  I would add the Pomegranate Nior body cream to my Orange Bitters perfume to create sweet success. (hard to find in stock in CLT but still available at least for now at Jo’s online store).
