Ladies 17 and up plan to attend “The Foxes” audition clinic this Sunday at Own the Stage Dance Academy located at 11025 Monroe Road in Matthews. The clinic runs from 5-8pm. You’ll prepare for your February audition with fitness training led by instructors of Gladiator Fitness followed by stretching, technique and choreography led by studio owner and team alumni Nicolette. Learn why dancing for the MLL is so much fun and have a Q & A session with the team’s director Rachel. Q:When is the pre-audition clinic?

A: It is Sundays 1/29 from 5-8pm at Own the Stage Dance Academy.

Q: How much is the clinic?

A: It is normally $25 but, Scoop Charlotte followers show this ad and it is discounted to $10.

Q: Where is Own The Stage Dance Academy?

A: It is located at 11025 Monroe Road in Matthews. It is next to Your Mom’s Doughnuts (and is not visible from the parking lot)

Q: What goes on at the clinic?

A: The clinic will have a 50 minute workout led by guest trainers from Camp Gladiator followed by stretching, technique and choreography for a game day style dance and a Q&A session with the director.

Q: What should I wear to the clinic?

A: We recommend dance/workout clothes sneakers and jazz shoes or dance sneakers if you have them, if not wear non-marking sneakers.

Q: Should I bring anything else to the clinic?

A: we recommend a water bottle or 2 and a sweat towel

Q: Why should I come to the clinic?

A: The clinic is designed to physically prepare you for auditions and allow you to learn about our expectations. It is fun but designed to challenge you. At the clinic you will be able to ask questions, get feedback and learn from Veteran dancers. Audition fees are also reduced by attending.

Q:How much are auditions?

A: Auditions are normally $25 but if you attend the clinic they are discounted to $10

Q: Is there an age requirement?

A: While there is no maximum age limit, you must be 18 by the first game (4/22/17) to audition.

Q: When are auditions?

A: the Preliminary round is on 2/5 and the finals round is on 2/12

(check-in begins at 4 and the audition begins at 5pm)

Q: How long are auditions?

A: I would anticipate being there for 3 hours (depending on participants)

Q: What do I wear to auditions?

A: You are required to wear a dance or athletic half-top (stomach must show) hot pants or dance shorts (NO high waisted shorts or full length capri pants) flesh tone hose, tights or fishnets and jazz shoes (recommended), dance sneakers or non-marking tennis shoes.

Q: What are you looking for?

A: Showmanship, professionalism, dance technique and style, the ability to quickly pickup choreography, a consistent and positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, physical fitness and the ability

Q: When are rehearsals?

A: Our 2017 rehearsals will start on 2/26. They will be on Sunday nights from 5-8 pm at Own The Stage Dance Academy. (There will be NO rehearsals on the Sunday following a game)

Q: What games will The Foxes perform at?

A: We perform at all Charlotte Hounds Home Games schedule is 4/22, 4/29, 5/13, 6/10, 6/24, 7/15 and 7/27 (all games start at 7:30 pm)
