Want to learn about wine, but not sure where to start? Each Tuesday the newly opened Cellar at Corkbuzz hosts Wine Topic Tuesday, a chance for their skilled Sommelier to educate guests on a topic, region and wines to expand your palate. Free.

Lenten Fridays Lobster Special at Clean Catch Market

Just two more Lobster Roll Fridays at Clean Catch. Every Friday through April 14 Clean Catch is selling fresh Maine lobster rolls for just $14.99 each. A toasted, buttered bun is topped off with a smear of market-made lemon aioli, then stuffed with a heaping lump of ocean fresh lobster. Bonterra’s Prisoner Wine Dinner

As part of the Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend, Bonterra Dining & Wine Room is hosting a Prisoner Wine Dinner. Guests will enjoy a multi-course dinner created by Chef Blake Hartwick, paired with wines from the Prisoner Wine Company. $165 per person. Consider happy hour planned at Reid’s SouthPark

The patio at Reid’s Fine Foods SouthPark is the place to be on weekends and for after-work dinner and drinks. Two nights a week, they host live music. And, there is a special almost every night of the week. On Mondays, it’s brats and $4 pints of beer. Tuesdays, you can enjoy half-price steakburgers. On Wednesdays, it’s half-price wines by the glass. And on Thursday, half-price cocktails.

Vivace is teaming up with South Charlotte Dog Rescue for a fun and free event featuring not only delicious food from Vivace, but adoptable dogs from South Charlotte Dog Rescue. Support the rescue’s mission to find these pups their forever homes with a $5 raffle ticket, you may be the lucky winner of prizes from local businesses. It’s also your first chance to order from their new Spring cocktail and bar bites menu and see a cooking demo.

Indulge in an evening of wine, food, live entertainment and auctions all for a great cause. The 13th Annual St. Jude Wine Dinner supports the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Individual tickets are $200, a table of 10 is $2,000.
Dinner at Fran’s: A celebration of #NCBeerMonth with Sycamore

Fran’s Filling Station is celebrating #NCBeerMonth with a brew-inspired three-course menu. Fran will be guiding you through the menu, while a guest from Sycamore Brewing will give insight into the featured beers. $40 per person. Buy your tickets online here.
Queen Park Social opened its doors this weekend, joining a lively area in LoSo. Upon walking in you’re greeted by a large U-shaped bar and expansive dining room. Around the corner, you’ll hear the cheers and strikes of a bowling alley, while in yet another section groups of friends play corn hole, shuffleboard, skee ball or giant Jenga. Foodies: check out the full menu here. They also have an impressive drink menu and late night offerings.
The newest addition to the Ballantyne area makes it easier than ever to eat good and feel good. Grabbagreen offers fresh, clean and creative menu items served at the speed previously reserved for unhealthy drive-thru windows. Selections include grain and green-based bowls, fresh-pressed juice, smoothies and acai bowls. The Ballantyne location has opened at 3429 Toringdon Way #104.
Everyone’s favorite neighborhood farmers market will open Friday, April 7. The market is located at 939 S Kings Drive, and will be open Saturdays from 6 a.m.-3 p.m. and 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays.
