Each Thursday in April, Pure Barre South Park is inviting moms to join in on their 8:30 a.m. or 9:40 a.m. classes for just $20. After class, hang around for a protein bar and mimosa or Clean Juice. RSVP by emailing southpark@purebarre.com.

Friday, April 14

FreeMoreWest 5K on the Greenway
1432 W. Morehead Street, Charlotte, NC 28208
6 p.m.

Lace up for a 5k through one of Charlotte’s up and coming neighborhoods. The route winds through historic neighborhoods, pristine parks and bustling businesses and restaurants. After crossing the finish line, stick around for beers and food vendors. Register online here.

The hunt is on at Fourth Ward Neighborhood Park! Search for eggs, visit with the Easter Bunny, enjoy kids activities and more. Prizes will be awarded for best Easter bonnet, so dress to impress.

Tap Old Town Craft Beer Festival

Charlotte may be abuzz with craft beer news, but Rock Hill is where to find the best brews this weekend. Sample offerings from over 25 breweries, enjoy live music and chow down on great food at the Tap Old Town Craft Beer Festival. Tickets start at $25.

What to hip-hop and Opera have in common? Find out with an exploration through film, conversation, art and music at Waist Deep: The Opera Cut. The program will include a screening of Waist Deep produced by Hip Hop orchestrated and a guided conversation through opera Carolina’s upcoming production of The Girl of the West and the Gantt Center’s exhibition “Zun Lee: Father Figure”. $15 per person.

ART Scavenger Hunt

Hunt for art in expected and unexpected places around the city at the Art League’s Art Eggstravaganza. Proceeds benefit Guerrilla Poets and the Charlotte Art League’s programs for at risk neighborhoods. $7 per person.
