Mother’s Day Weekend and Wine Walk

Take Mom to the gardens this year for a weekend full of the things she loves most. On both Saturday and Sunday, moms and their families can enjoy a beautiful day among the blooms with live music, mimosas, carriage rides, family activities and more. Activities will go from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The first 250 moms admitted each day will receive a free potted plant courtesy of Rountree Plantation Garden Center.
On Saturday, stroll through the gardens with a glass of wine in hand. The DSBG Wine Walk combines a wine tasting (five wines will be featured) and garden tour just in time forMother’s Day. Admission is free for mothers and garden members. Tickets are available online or by calling 704.825.1252.
Bold Missy Grand Opening

Who doesn’t love a brew with some character? Bold Missy Brewery will open its doors in NoDa on Saturday at 5 p.m. Seven beers are available on draft, accompanied by a menu of hot dogs, snacks and flatbreads. Stop by on the first Wednesday of each month as the brewery donates taproom proceeds to a local charity as part of their community “Drink One Down for Our Town” program.
Gardeners’ Garden Tour
Wing Haven Gardens & Bird Sanctuary
The Gardeners’ Garden Tour is back for its 23rd year at Wing Haven Gardens. The weekend features tours of Wing Haven, five picturesque private gardens as well as the Elizabeth Lawrence House and Gardens. Live music at Wing Haven sets the scene for a day of garden strolling on Saturday.
Tour hours are Saturday from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. and Sunday 1- 5 p.m. Tickets are good for both days, and are $30 in advance and $35 on the day of the tour. Learn more and start planning your visit here.
Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival

It’s a celebration of the Southern trifecta at Symphony Park as they welcome the Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival this Saturday. Guests will enjoy unlimited beer from over 60 offerings and bourbon tastings from over 40 options, as well as a selection of the best BBQ in the region. Round out the day with seminars led by distillers, brewmasters and pit masters and live music on the Main Stage. 2 p.m.-6 p.m.
Paws for the Cause
