Summer is, of course, the perfect time to have an outdoor wedding. But let’s face it, for all their beauty, fun and casual cool, an outdoor summer wedding presents a host of fashion challenges, for the wedding party and for you, the guest, like:
Staying cool and crisp in the summer heat and humidity.
Avoiding sunburn and over-exposure in the summer sun.
Staying in place in the summer breeze.
Standing and walking on grass and even sand.
Afternoon showers and even thunderstorms.
Hitting the right note between formal and summer fun attire.
Stay cool with light and flowy dresses, strappy and bare styles, and hit the right fashion note with maxi’s and a beachy or tropical vibe. Avoid the stilettos, bring a hat or shawl, tuck an umbrella in your car and definitely wear some matte sunscreen and waterproof mascara. If you don’t want to start out with a ponytail or an updo to keep your hair neat and off your neck, having an elastic for a quick pony emergency wouldn’t hurt either.
Those of you with countless weddings to attend this summer, don’t fret ~ we’ve found lots of options to help you look perfect at any venue.
