The first official weekend of fall is full with festivals, charity events and foodie fun galore. Here’s your guide to what to do this weekend in Lake Norman:

Denver Days Fall Festival
7835 Galway Lane | Sept. 21-23
This three-day event features rides for the young and young at heart, live music and plenty of food and beverage vendors. The festival is open Thursday and Friday 5-10 p.m. and Saturday noon-11 p.m.
THURSDAY
Music on Means Concert
Downtown Concord | 6-9 p.m.
Jam out during this free outdoor concert series held on Means Avenue. Multiple regional acts will take the stage while you grab a brew from Red Hill Brewing Company, a bite to eat or shop along Union Street.
Wine on the Courtyard Series
Harvey’s Cornelius | 6:30 p.m.
Get a head start on the weekend with an evening of wine sampling in the courtyard. Taste eight different Italian wines led by a wine specialist, paired with appetizers. Live music begins at 8 p.m. $25 per person.
U-Phonik at LangTree Live
LangTree Lake Norman | 5-9 p.m.
LangTree Live is back with music from DJ Chase starting at 5 p.m., followed by live tunes from U-Phonik.
FRIDAY
Rural Hill Fall Food Truck Rally 2017
Rural Hill | 5:30 p.m.
Bring your appetite to Rural Hill this Friday as over 20 food trucks gather to feed your cravings. Also onsite will be wine and beer vendors, and a kid’s zone. Fuel up at the rally before heading to the Amazing Maize Maze, taking a hay ride or enjoying the farm.
Hounds Helping Houston
Lucky Dog Bark & Brew Charlotte | All day with bar opening at 4 p.m.
To wrap up their donation drive benefitting those affected by Hurricane Harvey, Lucky Dog is donating 10% of all bar sales to the cause beginning at 4 p.m. Click here to view a list of most-needed items.
Halfway to St. Pats Party

SATURDAY
Lake Norman Beerfest Featuring The Southern Sauce BBQ Pavilion
Galway Hooker | 5-9 p.m.
It’s the ultimate combination of beer, barbecue and bands at this year’s Lake Norman Beerfest. Enjoy unlimited samples of local and national brews, music by local legends and Southern Sauce barbecue. General admission and VIP experience ticket options available.
Fall Into Huntersville Festival
Richard Barry Park | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Celebrate the first weekend of fall with artisan vendors, food trucks, kids activities, music and more. Fall into Huntersville is held in conjunction with the Live Awesome Foundation’s flag football tournament.
First Responder Appreciation Day at the Amazing Maize Maze
Rural Hill | All day
The maze is showing appreciation for all military, police, fire and medic personnel this Saturday with two complimentary adult tickets (with active or retired ID). There will also be first responder vehicles onsite to view.
Lake Norman / Concord Brew Ha-Ha Tour
Departing from Primal Brewery | 10:45 a.m.
Hop aboard Lake Norman’s Brew-Ha-Ha tour, stopping at Primal, Twenty-Six Acres, Red Hill & Cabarrus. The fun starts with free pizza from Brooklyn South and continues with door prizes, beer tastings and behind the scenes tours. $59.95 per person.
Yoga on the Green
Davidson Village Green | 3-6 p.m.
Perfect your pose on the green with the help of Bindu Yoga. Choose from Beginners Yoga and Vinyasa Flow (at 3:30 and 5 p.m., respectively), and enjoy live music and treats from Whole Foods, Up Dog Kombucha, King of Pops and more. The Hops for Hope Fundraiser and Community Event

Young Adult Writing Workshop and Author Panel

Ever wondered what it would be like to publish your own book? Join three accomplished young adult writers – Shaila Patel, Joanne O’Sullivan, and Kristin Smith- for this weekend’s writer’s workshop and panel. Workshop tickets cost $15 and can be purchased at the store or online. The panel is free.
