Toys, Games & Trains

Kings Mountain Historical Museum, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Holiday exhibit fills the Museum with model train displays, railroad memorabilia, and antique toys and games.

Discovery Place Kids Huntersville, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., free – $5
For children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Discovery Place Kids is hosting a sensory-friendly after-hours event. This holiday-themed evening will feature a specially-trained Santa who understands how to interact with individuals who have ASD. Activities will be modified so that people with ASD and their families can enjoy exclusive access to the Museum in a low-sensory environment.

Elves in the Shelves
Thursday, November 30, 2017
York County Library, 4:00 -6:00 p.m., free
Elves and gnomes will take over the York County Library. Activities include letters to Santa, free children’s crafts and activities and an appearance by the Elf on the Shelf.

The Polar Express Storytime
Friday, December 1, 7:00 p.m.
Barnes & Noble, Morrison Place, free
Dress in your PJs and head to Barnes & Noble to listen to a reading of “The Polar Express.” Coloring and activities to follow. Feel free to come in your pjs.

Holiday Trees for Wildlife

Wing Haven Gardens, prices vary
Create edible ornaments for wildlife, go on a holiday scavenger hunt, listen to seasonal stories, make nature-based crafts, and enjoy festive refreshments. Space is limited; register in advance.
