Everyone drives down Queens Road and Queens Road West at some point, and many of us take a tour of the beautiful Eastover neighborhood when we are “drive-by remodeling” or showing off the QC’s prettiest streets. Foxcroft is a little harder to just stumble upon, and frankly harder to get out of once you’re in there (which I think is the point). One of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Charlotte, it is close to South Park and Myers Park, and is a fully residential neighborhood. The only reason to go “in to” Foxcroft is if you live there, or you are visiting one of the 2 popular neighborhood pool & tennis clubs. (I’m including Foxcroft East in the neighborhood, for loose boundaries).
Foxcroft is where you can find some of Charlotte’s best mid-century homes and ranch homes, although there are many newly built, beautiful, huge houses as well. There’s been a lot of tearing down and replacing, but also a lot of fixing up of the older homes ~ some of Charlotte’s most highly regarded tastemakers call the Foxcroft neighborhood their home.
Houses for sale in Foxcroft are pretty scarce, particularly in the older more established sections. The plot sizes can be quite large by in-town CLT standards, and beautifully wooded. Sidewalks are not a thing in Foxcroft, but in parts of the neighborhood there are several miles of interconnected pathways that wind throughout the back sides of properties. It’s a hilly, great place for a run, although you may find yourself circling for a while until you can figure out how to exit 🙂
