The 65th Annual Room to Bloom Celebration hosted by the Mint Museum Auxiliary represents local fellowship and philanthropy at its best ~ a series of beautiful and entertaining events hosted by the Auxiliary’s 600+ members spanning seven generations of women who, since 1956, have gathered to support and raise over $13 million in funds and acquisitions for the Mint Museum.
Each spring The Mint Museum Auxiliary plans, produces, and hosts the Room to Bloom Celebration, a premiere fundraiser for The Mint Museum. Leading up to the always sold-out and hugely popular Spring Symposium at Charlotte Country Club are several parties and events for Auxiliary supporters.

This kick-off cocktail buffet is hosted in a stunning private residence in honor of each Fall EnrichMINT Forum Keynote Speaker and is offered exclusively to Sponsors, Benefactors and Patrons. This year, William Ivey Long was the guest of honor at a gorgeous Sherwood Road in Myers Park home.

This marquee kick-off event for the Room to Bloom Celebration was held at the Mint Museum uptown, and featured Tony award winning costume designer, William Ivey Long. The Mint Museum exhibition William Ivey Long: Costume Designs 2007-2016 features Long’s most recent work. Mr. Long adorably entertained a packed room with highlights of his career designing for over 60 Broadway shows.

This extremely popular annual lecture and luncheon will be held at the Charlotte Country Club and features a silent auction and book signing. The speaker this year is Mark Sikes, an esteemed interior designer known for creating beautiful and timeless interiors that embody an indoor/outdoor lifestyle. This always sells-out to Auxiliary members well in advance.
