Celebration of Lights + Winterland, Kannapolis
Monday, Dec 11 (through Dec. 30), times vary usually 6:00 p.m. -10:00 p.m.

Stroll through the park or take a ride on the Winterland Express to see more than 250,000 Christmas lights, take a ride on the Double Decker Carousel and don’t miss a performance from the Kannapolis Singing Bears.

Also Monday is a great night to visit CHRISTMAS TOWN USA (McAdenville), yes it’s a school night but traffic is considerably lighter Monday – Wednesday.

Tuesday

Free Entry to The Schiele Museum, Gastonia
Tuesday, Dec 12, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Get free entry to the Schiele Museum every second Tuesday. Don’t miss the planetarium.

Also on Tuesday, stop by Krispy Kreme and experience their one-day only gingerbread glazed in honor of National Gingerbread House Day. There’s a Krispy Kreme in Charlotte, Matthews and Indian Land.

Candy Cane Hunt, Mallard Creek Recreation Center

Take the kids to Mallard Creek Recreation Center on a scavenger hunt for candy canes. Holiday crafts will also be available. Register online.

Thursday

Let’s Party at Santa’s Workshop, York County Library
Thursday, Dec. 14, 4:30 -5:30 p.m.

Visit Santa’s Workshop and listen to stories, watch a holiday movie, while munching on treats and make a craft to take home.

Also don’t miss on Thursday Star Wars- The Last Jedi Pre- Screening Benefit for IGNITE at Our Town Cinemas in Davidson.

Friday

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever: The Musical, Charlotte Children’s Theatre

Friday, Dec 15 (now through Dec. 23) showtimes vary

Will a group of kids who have never even heard the story of Christmas ruin the show, and will any other kids bother to show up to the performance?
