St. Nick may have come and gone but that doesn’t mean the gift giving is over, it’s time to Undeck the Hall. Fans are each permitted to select a gift off one of the many trees decorated with NASCAR themed items like autographed souvenirs, die-cast cars, race tickets, and sheet metal. You’ll never believe some of the amazing gifts found on our trees. Each year they have secret surprises hidden on the trees and this year will be no exception.

Also on Tuesday, Holiday Geocache at McDowell Nature Preserve and enjoy special ticket pricing during Toddler Tuesdays at SEA LIFE in Concord.

The Hip Hop Nutcracker
Wednesday, December 27 (through 30), $20+
Knight Theater at Levine Center for the Arts

A holiday mash-up for the entire family, the Hip Hop Nutcracker, is a contemporary re-imagination of tchaikovsky’s timeless music, supercharged by a cast of a dozen all-star dancers, DJ and violinist.

Sunday, December 31, 11:45 a.m., free for Members/ $10, (Museum opens at 10:00 a.m.)

Three, two, one … Happy New Year! Create noise makers and decorations at stations throughout the Museum until 11:45 a.m. Then meet at Town Center for the Big Fun dance party and countdown to the Big Balloon Drop as we ring in the New Year.

If everyone is still awake, ring in 2018 at the Queen City’s official New Year’s Eve celebration at Romare Bearden Park
