Recovery Mode = Our Favorite Healthy Meals in Charlotte for January 2018

It’s time to make that New Year’s resolution.

Here are a few of our favorite healthy meals that will help you keep your 2018 fitness goals.

B. Good:

A great spot with three locations in Charlotte (Uptown, Stonecrest & Ballantyne). They offer a variety of seasonal and customizable salads, sandwiches, smoothies and grain bowls; this way you can add (or omit) what you’d like so you can stay in line with your New Year’s plan.

B.Good Seasonal Chicken Sandwiches & Burgers – they offer GF Buns & Veggies in substitute for buns as well

Clean Juice Bar:

Clean Juice is more than just smoothies. It’s a juice bar with a mission to offer all organic foods that are free of chemicals, pesticides and GMO’s. In addition to smoothies they ofer avocado toast, açaí bowls, juice cleanses and almond butter toast.

Coaltrane’s Char Grill:

When I’m in uptown and in need of a fast-casual lunch that’s killer, Coaltrane’s hits the spot every single time. They have a variety of low carb options that make eating healthy a cinch. A few of my go-to items include the Stuffed Avocado, Chicken Soup, Super Grain Salad and Grilled Chorizo Bowl.

Corkbuzz

Small plates at this wine bar are heavily vegetable-driven, giving you plenty of options when it comes to “eating your greens”. I love ordering a bunch of small plates and sharing. I recommend their Brussels Sprouts, Roasted Beets and Heirloom Carrots Foriana.

Fern Flavors From The Garden:

If you’re looking for a nice vegan variety that even the biggest carnivores will swoon for, this place has got you covered. Not only is the service impeccable, but the food is downright delicious. The space is intimate and ideal for dates, small birthday parties and catching up with a few friends.

Living Kitchen:

We cannot have a healthy-food roundup without including Luna’s Living Kitchen. Nope… just can’t. This eatery specializes in plant-based cuisine that is not only beautiful, but extremely tasty. I may or may not take 50 photos of my veggie plate before diving in.

Sabor Latin Street Grill:

This fusion spot offers healthy options alongside their indulgent masterpieces. A few of my favorites are their Autenticos Tacos (they don’t have cheese or fattening sauces added, so we can all hop on board for healthy tacos!) and the Quinoa Avocado Bowl.

WP Kitchen + Bar

When you’re looking for a nice atmosphere with great service, WP Kitchen + Bar is a great choice. There’s an open bar area with unique cocktail choices and several items to choose from when you’re trying to eat healthy. A few things I would recommend include their NC Apple Salad, Roasted Baby Beets, NC Shishito Peppers and Grilled NC Trout.

Yafo Kitchen:

People hear Mediterranean and automatically think gyros & pita bread; this eatery serves neither. Yafo Kitchen reaches across the Mediterranean Sea to the Middle East, creating an eclectic mix of ingredients you cannot find anywhere else in Charlotte. Their menu mimics this sense of adventure, coupling unknown masterpieces with the familiar comforts we all know well. When you’re trying to eat healthy, this eatery has plenty of options for your feasting pleasure. May I suggest the Signature Grain Bowls and Salads, they’re to die for.

Scrumptious note: I also ate all the food too. 🙂

Cheers to another year of delicious meals!
