Want a New Drug? #justkidding we know you don’t do drugs ~ why spend money on that when there are new shoes to buy? scoopgirls know it’s Hip to be Square. 🙂
Huey Lewis and The News, one of America’s great rock & roll bands, will be playing for MUSIC WITH FRIENDS on Thursday, March 1st at the McGlohon Theater.
As they enter their 39th year together (yes, we are all that old) these Grammy Award winners will perform from their classic line up of Top Ten Hits like “Heart of Rock & Roll”, “Stuck With You”, “I Want A New Drug”, “If This Is It”, “Hip To Be Square” “Do You Believe In Love” and “Workin’ For A Livin” and of course, favorites from the hit film Back To The Future ~ “The Power of Love” and “Back in Time”.
Wanna go? Join Music With Friends now and you’ll get a seat to Huey Lewis and the News plus two other TBA legendary artist performances in 2018.
Music With Friends is an elite club for dedicated music lovers that brings legendary artists to perform exclusive shows in beautiful and acoustically superb venues, like the McGlohon Theater. Each show is accompanied by a lively pre-show plus afterparty that includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, a premium bar, and an exclusive meet & greet artist session (on a first come, first served basis).
For this March 1st show, the Huey concert will be followed by an after-party featuring one of the QC’s favorite party and Panther’s Game bands, MO MONEY. So, your ticket includes not only a huge, open bar cocktail spread pre-show AND the headline concert, but a post band-party with sweets, eats and free wine, beer and champagne.
Head’s Up Ladies. If you are married to or partner with your very own legendary dude (even if he’s a legend only in his own mind), we think an annual membership to MUSIC WITH FRIENDS is the legendary gift of a lifetime.
Membership, which is exclusive and limited in order to keep the concert performances intimate (<750) and in small venues like the McGlohon, is $1650 per person per year for 3 shows each with lavish pre and after parties, plus the one time only seat fee of $550 per person (like a Panthers PSA). We’re not gonna say this is a small price to pay, of course, but if one of your favorite sports is Rock N Roll, then these season tickets are totally worth it. MWF fans actually got to see one of the final performances of Glenn Frey as well as Steely Dan with co-founder Walter Becker.
If you’d prefer to try out a single show before you commit to membership, non members can purchase one night only tickets for $650 each. Read more about past shows in our posts here:
