Style for the Ageless Woman ~ Fresh Spring Looks from Scout & Mollys Southpark

Guest Blog by Jan Correll of Silver is the New Blonde, a Charlotte-area fashion/lifestyle blogger for the mid-life, ageless woman. Jan believes that fashion should be authentic, chic and fun; no matter what your age is.

Now more than ever before, the mature woman is empowered to be herself.  We can reinvent, recreate or continue our path towards who we want to be.  It’s refreshing, fun and energizing to try new things, learn new skills and pursue dreams we put aside for various reasons.  My suggestion is to apply these new ideas to your style and wardrobe as well.  Today, you can be trendy, chic, sophisticated, elegant and boho, all at the same time.

Although it is February and we have more cool days ahead, I find myself looking ahead to spring fashions due to our unseasonably warm temperatures.  I always call this the “in-between” season; chilly in the mornings and hot by the afternoon.  My go-to remedy is layering.  It’s not only great for weather issues but year round.  I like the flexibility to add a jacket or sweater for warmth or to remove for a “cool down.”  Not only that, but I like to make sure that my style is personalized for me.  It’s fun to explore fashion trends but I feel more comfortable covering certain areas of my body.  As a mid-life woman, it’s an advantage to know what you are comfortable wearing and what looks good on you.

I recently had the opportunity to work with Scout & Molly’s of Southpark and picked out three fresh looks that are transitional for spring; shared below.  The boutique sales consultants were fun, professional and impressive.   They offered a unique approach to each individual that came through the door.   With their location at the Specialty Shops across from Southpark Mall, they have a diverse clientele and provide women of any age unique, high-quality clothes and accessories.
