This Charlotte Blogger Style Session features Charlotte native and fashion and beauty blogger Taylor Reese from Reese’s Hardwear. Taylor has been passionate about fashion and trends for as long as she can remember. She started her blog over five years ago as a way to style the jewelry line she started in high school. Within a few years the blog took off and the jewelry making became more of a hobby. She still makes custom pieces upon request but dedicates most of her time to her blog. As a Charlotte native, Taylor enjoys sporting events, trying new restaurants and of course shopping at the local boutiques. Taylor recently visited Copper Penny and put together three Spring looks that are great for warmer Spring days, Easter and weekend fun.
Look #1 ~ Copper Penny Phillips Place
This bright yellow Draper James dress gives me all the happy Spring feels. With wedding season and Easter quickly approaching, I cannot think of a better, more versatile option to add to your wardrobe. I immediately fell in love with the bright sunny color and was sold on the gorgeous bug embellishments. This classic silhouette also has the best fit. I don’t think I have ever tried on a dress that was perfect in all the important places with just the right amount of flare. Depending on the brand, I am between a size 2 and size 4. If you think you are between sizes or aren’t sure, I recommend sizing up. This dress naturally fits perfectly, but it has zero stretch or give in the waist.
Copper Penny has an amazing selection of earrings. You can easily find mega statement styles or delicate studs to wear every day. I chose these crystal Love Poppy drop earrings because they complimented the jewels on the dress perfectly. I snagged this soft blue tassel clutch to keep the Spring vibes going. This is the season to play with color so I always go for it when it makes sense.

Look #2 ~ Copper Penny Phillips Place
This heart print shirt dress is another Draper James style that Copper Penny just got in. Even if you are thinking this print or style may not be right for you, you have to stop by and give it a shot. The cut is so flattering and again, fit perfectly. The stripe ribbon detail on the waist gives this sweet dress a cool athletic vibe. My favorite thing about this dress: it is works equally well if you style it with heels or a classic white sneaker. I opted for a semi casual look with a block heel and added a simple yet chic pair of pave moon studs.
I recommend sizing up in this dress too. Like the yellow dress, this waistline has no stretch or give. It does have pretty deep pockets so if you weren’t in love already, you probably are now. I can envision so many subtle ways to style this dress. For me, that is the sign of a good investment and a great dress. I always look for items that have a long life and are easy to adapt to my own style.

Pave Moon Stud Earrings $58
Look #3 ~ Copper Penny Phillips Place
This last look is one of my all time favorites. It encompasses everything I love in an outfit: comfort and sparkle. Remember when I said Copper Penny had amazing earrings? This metal tassel pair is my must have pair. I am really into the 80’s influence on fashion right now so I styled one earring and the matching cocktail ring for more of a rocker vibe.
The paint splatter jeans and the shimmer crop top were so comfortable yet chic. Sometimes I feel so lazy or disorganized when I leave in jeans and a top, but I felt so cool and confident in this look. All the metallic tones really worked together because they all tied back to the splatter on the jeans. Mixing colors and patterns is an easy way to elevate a simple outfit combo. Just make sure you have that one piece (like the jeans) that anchors and ties everything together.
