Spring Food Truck Rally

Over 20 of the area’s best food trucks will pull up to Rural Hill for the Spring Food Truck Rally. In addition to enjoying the best in food truck fare and local beer and wine, the whole family will love listening to live music, partaking in children’s activities, winning giveaways, hopping aboard hayrides and more.

Standup Comedy at the Mill
Oak Street Mill, Cornelius | 8 p.m.

Kick off your weekend with laughs at Oak Street Mill’s monthly comedy showcase. Comedians taking the stage include Tara Brown, Jason Allen King, Coco Fresh and more. $7 per person.

SATURDAY

Lake Norman Garden Club Plant Sale
Conner Center, Terrell | 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

The club’s 19th annual plant sale will feature plants grown by club members along with annual, perennial, vegetable, herb and native plants from Setzer’s Nursery and The Garden Shed. Shoppers can also enjoy home baked goods for sale, and ask for tips from gardening experts on-site. Proceeds support community projects and a local student scholarship

Tour De Food
Davidson | 1:30 p.m.

Sip and taste your way through one of North Carolina’s favorite downtowns. Start off at Brick House Tavern, followed by a tour through historical Davidson, stopping in 5-6 bars and restaurants along the way.  You’ll receive tastings and an insider’s look into the places that make Davidson a culinary destination.

Davidson Farmer’s Market

Whether you’re on the hunt for a fresh bouquet, baked goods, local produce or simply a Saturday morning spent with neighbors, you’ll find what you’re looking for at the Davidson Farmers Market. Ride and drink for a cause as CycleBar Lake Norman and bottled & tapped team up for a fitness and beer event supporting Bullies 2 the Rescue. After sweating it out in class, grab a pint at bottled & tapped where $1 from every draft sold will benefit the organization.

Masters Cookout Party with Bayne Brewery
The Kilted Buffalo, Huntersville | 2 p.m.

Enjoy the action of the Masters with a free cookout at The Kilted Buffalo. In addition to hamburgers and hot dogs with all the fixings, attendees will enjoy three beer samplings from Bayne Brewing Company and a putting competition.

SUNDAY

2nd Annual Craft Beer SpringFest
Jetton Village, Cornelius

The Craft Beer SpringFest is back for its second year. Sip on selections from craft beer vendors, visit with local small businesses and grab food from Harvey’s or local food vendors. Kids can even get in on the fun with bounce houses and activities. A portion of proceeds benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

A Celebration of Tony Abbott
Main Street Books, Davidson | 4 p.m.

The Charlotte Writers’ Club North and Main Street Books will host a celebration of the works of Anthony “Tony” S. Abbott. Tony will read and recite poetry, and will be joined by special guests who will share stories about his impact on their lives. Wine and light hors d’oeuvres will be provided. Free admission.
