It’s Not Too Late!! Still Time to Book Fun (and Educational) Summer Camps for Kids of All Ages

We’ve almost made it through May-cember Moms. Before you breathe a sigh of relief, have you booked your kids summer schedule? No worries, scoop has done the research and come up with great camps that still have opening for all ages and all interests. Bonus: some even include lunch options and late pick ups.

When school is out, education and adventure are in at Discovery Place Science! Investigate, innovate and create with full-day Summer Camps for Pre K – Grade 8. Camps are led by professional educators and offer a variety of themes to get kids fired up about science, technology, engineering and art.  We found available space in Girls Only Stem Camp, Robotics, Exploding Science Myths and more options with limited space available.

Discovery Place Science Camps are held at Uptown at 301 N Tryon St. Charlotte, NC 28202.

Discover amazing critters and natural treasures at Discovery Place Nature Summer Camps. Campers will connect to the natural world through hands-on activities, art, close encounters with live animals, stories, games, nature treks and outdoor play.  Spaces are still open June through August in camps including Environmental Investigators, Leaping Lizards, Backyard Explorers and more.

Discovery Place Nature Summer Camps are held at 1658 Sterling Road Charlotte, NC 28209.

Extended Care is available for both Discovery Place Nature and Science camps from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 – 5:15 p.m. for $75 per week. Lunch Bunch Care is available for half-day Camps from noon – 1:00 p.m. for $25 per week. Book a full-day Camp or combine two half-day Camps and receive Lunch Bunch Care at no additional charge.


Summer Art Camp at DISH IT OUT POTTERY PAINTING STUDIO in Stonecrest is all about self-expression, creativity and fun. Kids ages 7+ will enjoy week-long sessions from 10 a.m to 1 p.m., Monday to Friday. Sessions will include a mix of pottery painting, mosaics, canvas painting and more.

Camp sessions 1, 3, 5 and 7 (June 11, June 25, July 16 and July 30) will feature a Fantasy theme with and weeks 2, 4 and 6 (June 18, July 9 and July 23) will feature a Beach Party theme. All sessions have projects that will appeal to both boys and girls, and a dedicated camp leader will work with the children throughout the week.

Summer at PROVIDENCE DAY SCHOOL encourages kids to explore their passion in art, science, technology, sports, music, academic enrichment, and more in half- and full-day camps this June and July for ages 4-18.
