Each day starting at noon, vendor displays, kids’ activities, racing-related fun and more will run on Tryon Street in Uptown Charlotte until 8:00 p.m. Then national headliners take the stage in Romare Bearden Park starting at 6:30 p.m.

Celebrate the founding of the town of Mint Hill at the 35th Mint Hill Madness, a three-day festival. The festival features live music, a carnival, an arts and crafts fair, a parade, a fitness competition and fireworks. The parade begins 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Discovery Place Science presents Tyrannosaurs – Meet the Family, an innovative, multimedia experience showcasing never-before-seen dinosaurs in the Tyrannosaurs family tree. The exhibit will feature more than 10 life-sized dinosaur specimens, a dramatic array of fossils and casts and state-of-the-art technology.
