This three-day festival features over 100 samples from local restaurants, live music, kids activities, cooking demos, street performances and more. Find a new favorite or support your long-standing go-to by visiting booths lining the Uptown streets. Friday – Saturday 11 a.m. – 11 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Great Carolina Fest
June 9 – 24 | Carowinds

Carowinds is kicking off summer with a Carolina-style celebration complete with locally-grown music, craft brews and Carolina cuisine. Bring the family or friends beginning this weekend through June 24.

Charlotte Squawks 14: O Fourteena!
Booth Playhouse at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center | Through June 24

Now in its fourteenth edition, Charlotte Squawks is a little bit Saturday Night Live, part Broadway and 100% Queen City. Mike Collins and Brian Kahn lead the creative team ready to poke fun at local and national pop culture, sports and politics. Tickets begin at $24.50.

THURSDAY

The Impressionist’s Palate – Art in the Garden
McGill Rose Garden | 6:30 p.m.

Support local non-profits and celebrate the installation of three community murals in the McGill Rose Garden. This immersive event blends live painting, curated cocktails and hors d’oeuvres incorporating herbs grown in the garden, music and more. Proceeds support the McGill Rose Garden and Brand the Moth. $80 in advance, $85 at the door.

TNB Trivia: Nineties Nostalgia
Thirsty Nomad Brewing  7 – 9 p.m.

Reminisce about the good old days with The Thirsty Nomad’s Nineties Nostalgia trivia night. Tickets are just $1 with all proceeds support the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation.

FRIDAY

Uptown Pops
Romare Bearden Park | 6 p.m.

Grab a picnic blanket and head to the fifth annual Uptown Pops concert in Uptown for a free performance by the Charlotte Symphony. Food trucks will be on site.

Summer Cocktails from Garden to Glass – Singles Class 
Hygge Co-working, Camp North End | 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

This singles-only cocktail class offers the perfect cure to hot summer days. Learn to turn fresh seasonal ingredients into three tasty, globally-inspired drinks. $65 per person.

Cheese & Cider Pairing
Red Clay Ciderworks | 7 p.m.

Red Clay Ciderworks and Orrman’s Cheese Shop team up for four pairings of cheese and cider led by Cider maker Jay Bradish and cheese expert Rachel Klebaur. $19 per person.

Sounds on the Square: Hamiltunes
Spirit Square | 7 – 9 p.m.

This community sing-a-long features selections from the popular Broadway musical Hamilton. Free admission.

Food and Brew Tasting Event
Barista Craft Highland Creek | 7 – 9 p.m.

Barista Craft and Twenty-Six Acres Brewing Company offer an evening of beer tasting, food and pastries. $25 for one ticket or $40 for two tickets. Preview the tasting menu:

Summer Yoga Fest
Symphony Park | 8:30 p.m.

Summer Yoga Fest, presented by NC Yoga Bar and OrthoCarolina, features two free yoga classes on the Symphony Park lawn, a live DJ, local vendors, raffle drawings and more. Classes are open to all skill levels.

2nd Annual Sip Sip Rosé Brunch
204 North Kitchen & Cocktails | 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Frock Shop 2018 Summer Revival
FROCK Shop | 4 – 10 p.m.

FROCK Shop’s summer interactive artist opening features visual works by Amanda Moody, performance art from Lydia Lundgren and a one of a kind fashion production from Whitley Adkins Hamlin, The Queen City Style. Attendees will also enjoy refreshments from Misfit CLT Beer & Food Co., live music from Frank Incense and Toni Myrrh. Free admission.

Legion Beer Mile
Legion Brewing | 10:30 a.m.

During this one-mile race, participants drink a beer before each 400m stretch and celebrate with food and drinks after crossing the finish line. The winner will earn the grand prize: a Legion Brewing Tour and Taste ($85 value) and the title of Legion Mile Champion. (oh hey Jen & Shane)

Groove Fetish at The Music Yard

Groove Fetish, a five piece band from Wilmington, will take the stage at The Music Yard’s next concert. SouthBound’s taco stand and full bar will be open for purchase. Free admission.

Race to the Taste 5k and Fun Run

Work off (or prepare for) the samples at Taste of Charlotte with Saturday morning’s Taste 5K. Other route options include a 1-mile cupcake walk/run and a kids dash for those 12 and under. A portion of proceeds benefit the Charlotte Checkers Charitable Foundation.

Home and Garden Tour
