Dressing for the office in the Summer can be fun and dreadful at the same time. Summer styles are more relaxed and full of color, but aren’t always best suited for the chilling temps or dress code of the office. Getting dressed for work each weekday inevitably brings the question: Do I dress for the weather outside or the office temps? Happy Hour or the Conference Room?
We believe you can do both. Lighter fabrics, looser, flowy fits and layering are your keys to survival. White is your best friend ~ white anything looks clean, chic and professional and actually reflects the light and heat when you’re outside. Look for styles in eyelet or linen fabrications that breathe and keep you cool but offer coverage for a meeting with the boss. A crisp jacket in white, black or neutral blush adds coverage at the top if you chose a skimpy top. Heading to drinks after work? Just ditch the jacket and you’re ready for girls night out.
