The Lake Norman area is hopping with new hangouts. From breweries to fast casual spots to fine dining, we have rounded up the scoop on all of them. Click on the link of each spot to get more information, hours and event calendars.
King Canary Brewery
562 Williamson Road, Mooresville
LKN has added another brewery to it’s repertoire. King Canary hosted their grand opening mid May & have been hoppin every since. As an avid wine drinker I don’t usually get amped up to brewery hop. Enter the words “prosecco on tap” (plus serving wine in general). The decor of this spot makes it hands down cutest brewery I’ve ever been to. The Gravinas, who quit their corporate jobs to open KCBC, nailed the theme throughout the brewery. It’s a two story space with lots of private seating, stocked with a bar upstairs and down. Food trucks and live music are the norm – complete with a front and back patio. I will say walking into the brewery is the most eye catching, with custom NC wallpaper topped by awesome bird cages hung from the ceiling. Oh, the brew is great too! They really can pride themselves on having something for everyone. Sidenote – even though this is a lakeside brewery, you cannot access it by boat. But those views tho…
Revival
761 N Main Street, Mooresville
The former home of The Prickly Pear in downtown Mooresville has been revamped and reopened as Revival. Hallelujah! This is such a unique and awesome space, I was heartbroken when it sat empty. Opening in April of this year, this former church turned restaurant serves a wide variety of deliciousness. From burgers and wings to surf & turf and ravioli, their menu has something for everyone. Open for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Saturday, and Sunday 11-5.
Cava
16845 Birkdale Commons Parkway, Huntersville
Finally! I have been hoping for a spot just like this to land around LKN. This national chain has it figured out. A perfect spot for a quick and healthy lunch or dinner, Cava is a “fast casual” spot serving up Greek & Mediterranean food. They kept the concept pretty simple – loads of healthy ingredients on a base of your choice (salad, rice etc.) topped with a protein. A perfect new spot to nosh with your vegetarian friends. Sidetone: they have dominated the takeout game. Download the app to skip the line.
Cowboy
9615 Bailey Road, Cornelius
Steak, Chicken, Ribs. Made from scratch daily, Cowboy is serving up quality meats cooked over hickory and oak wood fire grills. Another restaurant in town that is operating as “fast casual” (walk up and place your order before sitting) offers fresh salad, amazing sides, and an in house bakery in addition to bad ass bbq. After dinner you can sit and unwind by the fire pit on the wrap around outdoor patio. Trust us and get the mexican street corn salad alongside your entree, you won’t regret it.
Sabor Latin Street Grill
14230 Reese Blvd, Huntersville – Coming Soon, Davidson
Sabor Latin Street Grill is an independently, locally owned Charlotte area concept that focuses on authentic menu offerings from countries such as El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Mexico & Colombia. They offer amazing daily specials, one being $1 taco Tuesday! They offer street food alongside the traditional mexican restaurant favorites such as tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. The Huntersville location opened in June and a second Davidson location is coming soon.
Table 31
130 Landings Drive, Suite 13 Mooresville
Alton’s (Kitchen & Cocktails) had a sister! The popular spot in Cornelius has opened a second location in Mooresville. Table 31 is now open at Langtree. Similar in style to Alton’s, Table 31 offers all American food & craft cocktails. You may even notice a few of the most popular menu items from Alton’s carried over. They have a great outdoor area and we suggest going on Thursday when you can dine al fresco and listen to music during Langtree Live.
