UrineTown, The Musical
August 3 – 5 | Davidson Community Players

The award-winning musical satire Urinetown comes to Davidson for one weekend only. Performances are August 3 at 7 and 10 p.m., August 4 at 7 p.m. and August 5 at 2 p.m. $10 general admission.

THURSDAY

Succulent Garden Workshop
meg-art pottery painting studio & espresso bar, Huntersville | 6:30 p.m.

Create your own succulent garden with your choose of five plants, rocks, planting media and decor. Plus, learn how to care for it once it’s part of your home. $30 – 50.

Movies in the Park
Veterans Park, Huntersville | Begins at dusk

Bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs and gather ’round the big screen to watch Wonder in this perfect family night out. Drinks candy and popcorn will be available for purchase.

National IPA Day
Ghostface Brewing, Mooresville | Noon – 9 p.m.

Celebrate National IPA Day with the release of eight specialty brews and a one-day special: purchase two flights and receive a Ghostface Brewing pint glass.

Bella Love Presents: Open Mic
Brick Row, Cornelius | 7 – 10 p.m.

LangTree LIVE: Heart Breaker – A Heart Tribute
LangTree Lake Norman, Mooresville | 7 p.m.

Heart Breaker takes the stage at this week’s LangTree Live concert series. Visit the shopping and restaurant retailers, grab a craft beer from D9 Brewery and park your lawn chair to enjoy the show. Admission is free.

HHG Cava and Craft Beer Tastings
Hunter House & Gardens | 5 – 11 p.m.

Each Thursday, Hunter House & Gardens hosts tastings of Cava sparkling white wine and craft beer in the garden for $5. Other tempting options include cold Poptails (made from King of Pops popsicles), and salted caramel chocolate cookie mason jar sundae.

Standup Comedy at the Mill

Get your laughs in on the first Friday of every month at Brick Row’s Stand Up Comedy Showcase. This month, Jesse Jones will host and comedians Jason Allen King and Mimi Benfield will take the stage. $7 cover.

Live Inspired on the Edge: Lifestyle Event

This all-day festival celebrates the best of the outdoor lifestyle, from paddle boarding to yoga, martial arts and self-defense. Inspire Wellness & Physical Therapy and Edge Performance Training team up to share instruction, classes and giveaways. Free admission.

Tour De Food
Departs from Brickhouse Tavern, Davidson | 1:30 p.m.

Discover Davidson’s culinary scene as you tour up to six restaurants, meeting with chefs, tasting signature dishes and sipping local beer and wine. $60 per person.

Little Chef’s Day
Huntersville Growers’ Market | 8 a.m. – Noon

Kids take over the kitchen this week at the Huntersville Growers’ Market. Chef Matt will teach kids ages 5 – 2 basic cooking skills using a kid-friendly recipe and market ingredients, as well as kitchen safety and sanitation. Free to participate.

Charity Masquerade Evening
Historic Langtree Plantation, Mooresville | 7 – 11 p.m.

At this charity event presented by Ace & TJ’s Grin Kids, enjoy a strolling dinner, live music, dancing, live and silent auctions, games and a cash bar. Cocktail attire and masks encouraged.$125+.

Yacht Yoga for a Cause

Find your balance aboard the Carolina Grace as you sail over the waters of Lake Norman. Each Yacht Yoga for a Cause class benefits local charities, and is followed by an hour of community and offerings from Clean Juice. $20 per person.

Yard Sale

Shop clothing, housewares, art supplies, book,s, toys and more while supporting the Ada Jenkins Center. All proceeds from the yard sale will support Center programming.

The HC Oakes Band
King Canary Brewing Company, Mooresville | 6 p.m.

Enjoy some live music with your brews as The HC Oakes Band performs original songs and covers.

Aloha Flow SUP Yoga

Fondo Cycling Circuit USA

Fondo Cycling Circuit USA, a six-city series where cyclists compete in 30, 50 or 75-mile distances, comes to Davidson this weekend. In addition to watching along the route, the event culminates with a food truck and beer festival with live music.
