The 9th Annual OrthoCarolina 10K Classic – Food Truck and Beer Fest is Saturday, August 18 this year. Voted BEST 10K by Endurance Magazine readers, you can join over 2,000 people for the OrthoCarolina 10K Classic, whether you are an experienced runner, a first-timer, a walker or a kid. This race has something for everyone, including beer for those over 21 🙂
In addition to the 10K which runs through Charlotte in-town streets, the OrthoCarolina Classic also features a challenging 5K run/walk and a kid’s dash. Our favorite part of this race is back again this year…The Rookie Run, designed for beginners to take the fear and anxiety out of a typical 5k by offering an untimed event using the Classic’s 5K course.
For those of us who prefer to cheer and observe, the OrthoCarolina 10K Classic Expo is one of the best post race expos in Charlotte. There are exhibitors, great giveaways from race sponsors, kids activities, food trucks & beer. The Expo starts at 7:30 am and ends around 10 am.
This is a wonderful race for the entire family, group of girlfriends to speed walk, or barre buds who’d like to try to run their first 5k together. Take it outside and enjoy all that the QC fitness scene has to offer, including the requisite post-workout brew. See you there!
